I don't like to see games turn into fight-fests, but I also don't like to see my team back down against thuggery.
With that in mind, I was overall very please w/ how GW fought back against Rhody and was being physical right back. The one bad part was Elliot throwing the ball. That was uncalled for (especially since he didn't even see the tangle Hall was in, he was making a move toward the basket at the time) and could (should?) have gotten him tossed. Pinnock's T I'm pleased with...he was just trash talking back, didn't back down, and the ref's were just trying to regain control of a game they didn't seem to want to control until it was too late. That's fine.
But I like that Rhody came out and tried to dictate the tone and tempo. And GW stepped up, answered, and took control right back.
Suck it, Rhody.
That performance (or more specifically, the handling of the situation), combined with the shocking, cold-water-in-the-face loss of Hobb's nephew gives me reason to think this team will do quite well in the A-10 tourney. The latter because these kinds of things put a proper perspective, and hopefully will unify and loosen up the team. GW plays great when they're loose.
