Imagining what could happen if Hobbs is let go in light of what Lavin is accomplishing at St. John's is completely pointless. Lavin gets to sell the Big East, Madison Square Garden, the nation's largest media market, plus himself. Hobbs gets to sell the A10 (a better and better sell every day but still lacking the cache and resources of the Big East), a 5,000 seat gym (albeit a newly renovated one) that apparently upper echelon programs outside of the A10 will not visit, a media market that is as prone to ignore GW basketball as it is to confuse it with George Mason basketball, and himself. Do you really believe that a new head coach could arrive at GW and sign 4 Top 100 players in his first year? This is what's called an impossibility.
On a separate note, I just heard that there is now a FireUrbanMeyer website now that the Gators have lost 3 in a row and are no longer ranked. In my continual defense of KH, I have found many of you who want and/or wanted him fired to be crazy. I stand corrected; now I know what crazy really is.
