What's all this chatter about Hobbs recruits maybe, or maybe not, coming to GW? LOIs were signed in November, no? If they don't like the new coach they can decide to leave but that will cost them a year of eligability.
I think the protocol is generally that when programs go thru a coaching change they let players out of their LOI if the kids don't still want to go that school
GW should hold those recruits to their LOI at least until they hire the new coach and he gets a chance to sit down with those players to give his pitch. Hopefully Houston will be on the new staff and he can bring his nephew on board to GW.
Isn't it also likely that the new coach will bring his recruits with him?
Knowing Nero and his "classy" way of handling things the recruits will be held.
This is pretty late in the ball game to be releasing recruits. I think you've definitely got to hold them until the new coach comes in and hope Hobbs doesn't tamper in the process.
does anyone know with certainty whether Erik Copes is currently academically eligible to play the '11-12 season? i think most of us were under the impression Erik qualified. If he isnt no one knew? DEA, seneca, thinker you among others have good sources is this a surprise?
I know nothing, but I would guess that whether he "is currently academically eligible" is different from whether the school decideds to admit him. Could explain the contradictory news on the issue.
PS - I know nothing
