I'm not all that confident that Houston would want to stay here if Turner comes..  If Turner was the clear number two man at Vermont, why would he consider coming here to be number three behind Roland?  And more to the point, if Turner is coming and will be number two, I'd have to wonder whether Houston would be satisfied being number three.

 College basketball is such a fluctuating business that I think both would just be happy to have a job on a staff, especially at this late date. It's different then say working in a firm where a "demotion" would be reason to leave.

Poog: Someone mentioned earlier that Turner is related to "a former GW women's player."  I'm assuming that'd be Mandisa, right?

GW Yearbook back then said that Mandisa Turner has one older sister (Jackie 35) and an older brother (Tarik 21, PG at St. John's University) and a younger brother (Hajj 17). Sure sounds like that earlier post was accurate.

I assume that Houston remains under contract with GW.  If that is the case, unless GW lets him out of the contract, he has no choice but to stay, or not get paid. Another team cannot even talk to him w/o GW's permission.

Always been my impression that assistants operate on 1 year contracts at the pleasure of the head coach.  Just guessing but I would assume that all of GW's assistants have contracts that run out some time in the next several months.
