STAR Students

Some of the National Football League's top players, including the New York Giants' Kevin Boothe and the New Orleans Saints' Marques Colston, are among the newest students enrolled in the George Washington School of Business' STAR EMBA program.

This program is either going to succeed beyond measure by further highlighting the practical advantages of a GW education for busy people in a busy city spawning new, already well-known and affluent, alumni or it's going to end up as the butt of late night jokes and front-page pundits.  Either way, doubt it will be "mired in mediocrity."

Creative move.

Getting star athletes associated with GW, in any way, has got to be a good thing.

Unconvinced of the academic rigor of the program in return for a real masters degree, but it sure is a good idea and good publicity.
