 Shucks, I wanted road games at UC Davis, Kenyon, Central Conn St, Eastern Montana and North Dakota A&T. Actually, aside from the game in New Jersey, all of those games would make good road trips.

That Rutgers game ought to feel very nostalgic to some of us.  Hope I can make that one; I always enjoyed watching games at The RAC.  It's Thataway to Piscataway.

Nice. Might have to see if the Rutgers game coincides with when I might be able to swing a trip to visit family in Piscataway.  My first GW awareness was a GW-Rutgers game at the RAC when I was about 10 or so (involving a ridiculous full-court inbound pass to Yinka Dare to send the game to OT).

How about Tennessee. Anyway, maybe Vandy someday but Georgia is ok. Last time I saw a GW/Rutgers game was when my parents still lived in Union County. Score was 72-46? at the RAC. Good guys won.

 Hey ziik, who was that double post for? In all seriousness, this is awesome. If this trend keeps up and the talent continues to improve, then for the first time in a while an at-large bid is realistically in our future.

With VCU now a conference game I'll be interested to see who we are able to schedule to fill their spot in our OOC schedule.  

why do we seem to play BU every year.?UGA and Notre Dame are only ones moving my dial.

 Excellent schedule.  I would love to have played such a schedule. Good job GWU, now these are changes I can appreciate. Let's step up to this challenge!!

 I agree. This non-conference schedule now sucks besides Notre Dame. In fact it's no better than the ones we used to play under Hobbs regardless of what some spin masters may say. What makes Rutgers or Georgia better games than Oregon State or Providence? No tournaments? 

I am reserving judgement on this staff until this year plays out. Right now they've gotten major credit for two things that remain unclear. They by all accounts didn't make the schedule last year and somehow got credit for playing a tougher schedule, yet this slate looks very weak compared to other A10 schools. The recruiting class is being hyped to all heavens on this board but no scouting service seems to thing very highly of any of these players, even though most of them played for schools were they were seen all the time. Regardless of the cheerleaders on this board, I think you'll find that most GW fans are in this wait and see majority. 

 I disagree. I think this is a great schedule and as a student I'm very excited to see this schedule come out thus far. Rutgers is a very well coached team and BU made the tourney last year. Keep in mind K state still owes us a game at home plus whom ever we play and the BB&T.  

 This is just the road OOC schedule, we don't know all the home games yet. The road schedule has 2 big east teams and an SEC team. We know K State is coming in to the Smith Center next year as well. That means that out of the 7 OOC games announced so far, 4 are against BCS teams. You are honestly crazy if you don't think this is a difficult schedule. Now if the rest of our OOC home games are all cupcakes that changes things, but as of now this is incredibly challenging. To compare this to the last few years of schedules Hobbs and Kvancz put together is just silly GWUGUY.

Whether we like  it or not, names matter and leagues  matter.  No one is saying we are challenging Temple for toughest schedule, but it is an improvement.  Getting BCS schools to play us is progress.  People know them.  Perception is reality.

VB - I was at that game too - and remember all the RU fans moaning and our section way up high in the RAC going crazy!  And I grew up in P'way - Go Chiefs!

I may have been at that Rutgers game as well.  I'm pretty fuzzy on the game as I was working my way through a bottle of Southern Comfort at the time.  I recall taunting a 10-year-old Rutgers fan.  Maybe it was VB.

Nice find, Herve.  I guess that means that the season after next, when Armwood and Kromah and Mikic are seniors, and when our young backcourt has a season under its belt to adjust, we'll have Georgia and Rutgers both at home.  Still no idea to expct this year with all the newcomers, but the season after is setting up for a real shot at a breakout.  

I used to meet with Mark Felt and a guy named Woodstein in a topless go-go bar on K street in the 70's. Where is Mark now, herve? Say hello to him for me, please.

george the hippo hunter - It's best not to risk it.  If they lose, they might as well start scheduling games against School Without Walls.
