GW is hiring Riverdale Baptist head coach Diane Richarson as an asst coach. They were the Girls National champs. Should help with DC area recruiting

Wow, that is a huge get by GW. This school is truly serious about having national caliber sports teams.

I'm not a big WBB fan, but the staff seems very impressive with Tsipis, Richardson, and the "National Championship" experience member who will be on board.  As Poog said, he really reflects on the committment of the Department and School.  Very Nice To See!

If it's Richardson, she's the one with national championship experience. Former ND star Megan Duffy is one of the previously named new assistants, presumably as the associate head coach, and she was recognized as one of the top assistants in WBB by being selected to attend the Villa 7 elite coaching conference in Oregon.  Can't wait to see the class of recruits GW will be signing in November and how the new coaching staff molds the incoming recruits and returning players for the 2012-13 season.

Coach Richardson was formerly on the staff at Maryland. She has led Riverdale Baptist for the past couple of years. This is an excellent hire for the program.

Diane Richardson officially announced by GW as the 3rd assistant under Coach Tsipis. Hopefully the school will quickly replace her U of Maryland photo with something highlighting buff and blue. Women's program is clearly primed for a successful return to NCAA tourney caliber hoops.
