He is going to be an incredible find for some program. He has a great mid-range game and shoots the three with consistency. His decision making is exceptional. He reacts to what the defense gives him and makes them pay. He runs the break like a guard far beyond his years.  The kid has crazy court vision!!! 

So the kid has 2 more years in High School, and we expect to get him with this competition this early on? Call me a negative nancy but we have no chance. Even if the kid wanted to go academics we are beat by UNC and UCLA.

First you walk the walk, then you talk the talk. If you want to be a top team then you have to recruit the top talent. This is a change with GW. We have seen these comments before about some of the guys who are now getting ready to go to Italy. Good luck with that negativity.

MG, this kid is a HS sophomore.   He's drawing interest from some big names (with big recruitng budgets).  But let's wait until the UCLAs and Kentckys start making offers before assuming that we have no shot.

Hobbs recruited plenty of big name players but was very secretive about it.  Obviously he didn't sign many.  He didn't recruit many big name local players.

I am curious if we had a significant recruiting boost this year because we could offer recruits an immediate bigtime European vacation right off the bat. I'm sure that played some role for some of the kids - and I'm not saying that's a bad thing.

Thinker, I truly disagree with you. I think Hobbs was so squirmy about what he had to offer that it was, at best, a faint effort. All you had to do is listen to his post game interviews and you just didn't want to "go there." Nabob of Negativity"
