Only 47 more weeks of Olympic beach volleyball to go. Hopefully there will be a DVD package I can purchase so I can continue to watch beach volleyball every night of the rest of my life....you know, the way NBC would like it. I keep thinking a gold pole will drop-down in the sand any moment now as the last Misty May I recall seemed to be starting a $20 bill collection.

If the Italian or Brazilians are objectively hotter than the American beach volleyball players, is it in anyways unpatriotic to root for the Italians/Brazilian?

Personally I like Spain's Liliana Fernandez Steiner. Then again, I like checking out the caboose on the train. So maybe I am in the minor. Still, I was hoping Spain would make the finals against the U.S., and win a set so that they could last a bit longer. My dreams were not to be true.

girls R. Ule: Hey, hey hey!!! several of us are big GW VB fans. I have actually been to the building where it was first played. There used to be a huge summer game in our campus housing complex  court in hawaii (UH) during the summer months with many Olympians playing (back in the day ... 60's). You can't just change the channel in many instances to watch another even... possibly as it is taking place. Of course, the key to this is that we are talking about Beach Volleyball.

Or maybe Misty and Keri could be good enough to make the actual national team in volleyball because any sport that plays Queen during competition is more than suspect.

Weekend Beach volleyball by the Lincoln is one of my enduring GW memories.  And somebody would have a boombox going, so now I feel a little more like an Olympian.  Much more so than running multiple 800s in HS track practice and supsequently barfing into a trash can...just about every Wednesday practice.

Netherlands vs. Argentina in women's field hockey was way better olympic porn than any damn beach volleyball match.
