FQ, you're entitled to subscribe to the notion that because his UMASS teams hadn't made the NCAA's, this equates to Ford having "done nothing" but I'll respectfully disagree. His teams over the past two years were strong enough that it could be argued that each only needed one victory in the A10 tournament to earn an NCAA bid. Two years ago, 1/2 the team developed a serious stomach flu and proceeded to lose to an underwhelming St. Louis team. Call it an ecuse if you'd like but it was a legitimate one and a very tough break for them. This year, they only had themselves to blame in blowing an 18 point lead to Charlotte. Still, the team rebounded from this to play ecellent ball during the NIT. They've received first round byes in each of the past 2 A10 tournaments and have also won a number of impressive OOC games which included wins at Syracuse (twice), at Boston College, home against Houston, and of course against Florida in the NIT semis this past season. So in my estimation, he accomplished a great deal while at UMASS.
