My advice, if Poog doesn't think you should go to the coach, or in case his advice went over your head as well as mine, is to don't read the board, if you don't want your ego taken down.

No, Poog thinks he is humoring a Larry Hagman wannabe in this thread. If this were actually Pinnock writing, I wouldn't presume to give him any advice other than to be true to his school like he would to his girl. This JR was likely mothered by Peter Pan and Nellie Forebush (though some suspect that he was conceived on some enchanted evening in the Pacific during World War II). But at least it keeps us blabbering about something during the summer months. Hey, did you see GW picked up a transfer for the golf team? Way to go GW Golf Coach!

Thanks for the notice. He had it narrowed down to us, Drake and Hawaii. I think I'd have gone to Hawaii (better weather, girls and golf courses) but he actually wanted a great education so he's coming here. Good for us!

Poog, you're just to clever for this feeble mind. I realize JR maybe as read as the one who came back to life, on the otherhand, he may be real. I just lean to the "just in case" side. If it's not the real JR and he's sneering at the gullable on the board, I'm sure he'll get what's owed to him in due time.

It's an interesting question though, should players read this board (I think not) or should the coach forbid them? Does Herve have to time to ferret out jerks who use false names.

I can delete posts on the fly by rarely due so. I personally with BC on this one and think players shouldn't read the board, although it does provide an added source of entertainment and information. Coaches, I think, should participate on the board as much as is prudently possible. I know I can be way too harsh for even myself and wouldn't want to read some of the stuff I write about people if it was printed about me--but I can't help myself. I agree that JR shouldn't put too much stock into what is written on this board. After all he has already achieved way more on the basketball court then any of us ever could. It's like a Doctor asking the medical office receptionist for a second medical opinion. That being said, is this really JR? I'd like to know if for no other reason then it lends some credence to the points that I think Blue Seats or someone made several months ago about criticism on this board and the fact that the players really do read it. Therefore, if it is really you JR perhaps you can tell us who the starting five at Coastal Christian your senior year and tell us who the QB was on the football team and what position you played. This test should help us ferret out whether this is the real JR or an impostor.

Maybe JR should then tell us his senior year class schedule and board scores. I mean, instead of asking him to answer trivia other people may already know, why doesn't someone say that he or she will attend the net Kenner league game and will meet him after the game? On second thought, with the thought of harrassment, stalking, and what's going on down in Waco, Teas, maybe that is not a great idea after all.

the starting five last year at coastal christian was Anthony Garrison, Ray George, Me, Troy washington, and Sam phare. We did not get Vernon Goodrich until mid-season. Coastal Christian did not have a football team I played at my regular school in Georgia Eagles landing high school. I will gladly talk to anyone sunday at UDC. before or after the game.

Knocked my little test stone cold. Threw in the trick question about Coastal football just to see if he was real. I believe gentlemen that we are really dealing with J.R. here. I apologize J.R. for the eam but we've had posters use players' names before or claim they were somebody they're not. Anyway, welcome to the board J.R. BTW, the pass you threw Sunday from halfcourt that split the lane (I believe to Ricky) was something to behold; also, you almost got the baseline reverse jam which I'm sure we'll see again. Impressed with your athleticism and ability to play in/out, which is something we've lacked at the 2/3 for a few years. We are fired up for the season hope you are too. You've got a good group to play with and I think good things are on the horizon. A word of advice -- ignore the criticisms that are posted here. They are outside the family if you know what I mean. Those who truly care about the program won't dis you here.

While we are talking about Georgia football, my cousin played defensive back @ Centennial, and they played Parkview, the 5-A(??) champion, in the GHSA playoffs last fall. My cousin's team got spanked 52-0 by Parkview. BTW, Parkview's the high school team that ESPN kept showing highlights of all last fall.

Yeah they are a real powerhouse we had to play them my junior year that was the game that season I did not have over 100 yards receving. They won 64-0. They schools in that area do alot of recruitng but they do not get caught. If you look the two time state champion in basketbal wheeler is in the same area the recruit heavily to but they dont get caught.

Valdosta schedules two or three Florida high schools a year to play, and they aren't easy games. Kind of hurts the winning percentage there.
