So, I will just gaze up one row and down another 1/2 row, see who is with BC, and his secret identity will be revealed to the world. Actually, after all of these years, I am starting to get a little curious about many of you. On the other hand, there are some of you whom I just don't want to know what you look like. (For eample, knowing ziik, I can assure you that...) I would like to meet Herve, though, and shake his hand for this wonderful board and its predecessors. I especially like being in the GW chatroom during the road games.

Does maudlin precede suffering, LSF? Come on toughen up...we've got a season almost at hand. Wring those hands. Scrunch that face. Wail that wail. This is GW basketball we are supposed to be talking about here...not politics or kumbayah circles, or even Strat-O-Matic baseball. And just for advance notice, let us know if we're playing on your birthday this year. I've come up blank the last few years on that.

No birthday games this year (1/26), but 2 days before vs. Duquesne and 2 days after vs. avier, so plenty of opportunity to have yet another birthday ruined. (The loss to a horrible Rhode Island team on my 50th was a classic). As for now women sitting near BC...(need more be said).

FQ: I don't think you are the happy one. I would put it more like cautiously optimistic. I don't think you are the one who yells at the ref, because I don't believe you blame the referees for our shortcomings. You look for more intellectual reasons. Since anyone sitting with BC would be good-looking in comparison, then that must be you.
