1) I don't think a bus is realistic because there is no single student group entity in the student section, nor is there a unified group of supporters on campus. Until there is a student organization on campus with members that are committed to going to away games, nothing will happen in terms of that.

2) I agree that I love the shirts, and they're a lot better than last year, but what's the deal with them running out? Last year everyone got one and this year they seem to hand out about 40 and that's it. And why not hand them out at the student entrance? There are so many more logical methods to giving out the shirts and everything else than what they do now.

3) Lastly, again with the away games. I think a more effective way of getting students to go to away games is just to start a carpool. Have a signup sheet near the door and just try to get 20-30 people to go to Philly or something. Find 5 or 6 guys with cars, have everyone chip in 5 bucks for the ride, and it works. If support for that builds, then you can go to the school and talk about getting a bus.

I proudly brandished my bo of Corn Pops at the St. Bonaventure game, perhaps you didn't notice. I'd love to see this become a tradition as long as Pops plays for us. I'd give anything to see the student section filled with hundreds of kids waving Corn Pops boes. And that goes for the Blue Seaters too, everybody should bring their Pops. By the way, the arena staff will take them away if you actually have cereal in the boes. But I just use an empty bo and they have no problem with it.
10 Buses to Penn St., but at least the cheerleaders weren't on mine...

Yes, GWAA, it was 10 buses to Penn St.. As you may recall, I was the Athletic Dep't staff on both that trip and the Indiana soccer game.

I gotta say, I'm not sure which was worse...I think it has to be the Indiana game...driving all night to a very cold Bloomington, seeing the team lose and then the bus ride back....strangest 24 hours of my life. I swore that day never to take a bus ride with cheerleaders ever again (not that there's anything wrong with them, unless you're trying to sleep at 2 a.m. on a bus somewhere in Ohio...)

Last time I saw students throw Corn Pops in the air when Pops did something good, that balding dude who patrols the sidelines came up and got in the kid's face and yelled at him, "do you want to clean it up!" and threatened to kick him out and stuff. I don't know who that guy is, and apologies I guess if he's on there, but it seems like his only job is to make students not have any fun, and he's kind of an a@% about it.

I think the car pool idea is great. I was thinking about it for the richmond game on the ride down with some friends. I would be open to driving people in the future. My other bball people can drive themselves...or add some riders.
