In the various reports in the past several months I never noticed a mention of VCU as a school that was leaving the A10 for the new Big East, although I always thouht VCU was a likely candidate for the new league. However, in a piece on coach Smart on ESPN early last week it was stated that VCU was heading to the Big East.  Is this statement true? And if true, when will VCU make the move? 

 The problem for VCU is that if the conference accepts a public school, it will have to make a lot more information public than it would have to otherwise.  So if you are only talking about one school, it probably isn't worth it.
