Ben Weixlmann @BWeixScout 2013 Jordan Swopshire had some high praise about his unofficial visit to #GW. Said it easily surpassed expectations. #A10
Based only on his "inside Scoop" answers to USA Basketball, this kid looks like a perfect fit for GW -- the university if not the team ... but I'd like to see him in the Buff & Blue as well.
Offers from VCU & GW.
Are we still in the mix for this kid? It looks like he's having a solid season against the nations best.
Nothing more out there. Not sure if a 6-5/6-6 wing is a priority for next year, especially if Lasan is coming back.
Lasan is returning, but Dwayne Smith will be gone, Davis and Mikic have have barely played, Savage is tiny and GWU needs more size. Swopshire would be valuable in the short term, and then after Kromah Leaves.
Bradley (3/2013)
Any news on this kid?
I'm thinking BM's post from last month simply stating "Bradley (3/2013)" is news. That means he signed with Bradley. Bradley is another school with a basketball team and he's going to go play with them. Maybe I misinterpreted.
Maybe GDubber is that Bradley pbp announcer? That was the guy who coined the names Burns, Guardino, and Armstrong (among others), right? If so, I'm guessing he is just trying to get his facts straight.
I think he verballed with Bradley, but didn't sign ( http://www.pjstar.com/bradleyhoops/x1522340545/Swopshire-commits-to-Bradley ) but he seems pretty set there. Don't think there's any reason for him not to sign there based on his interview. Knowing he grew up a few hours away from Bradley makes the recruiting loss feel a lot better.
couldn't sign -- pretty sure signing period opens today or later this week.
